How to become a Christian...
It is the goal of St. Paul A. M. E. Church to make sure that everyone clearly understands the central message of the Gospel. We would like to share that message with you so that you can be certain that you are a Christian.

The Problem
All men are sinners when measured against the standard of a holy God. Romans 3:23

The Penalty
Sin demands a penalty, and that penalty is physical death (where the soul is separated from the body) and spiritual death (where the soul is eternally separated from God). Romans 5: 12; 6:23

The Provision
God loves us so much that He provided Jesus Christ, His Son, to take our place on the cross and pay the penalty for our sins. Romans 5:8

The Pardon
God is freely giving eternal life to everyone who receives forgiveness through Jesus Christ. Romans 6:23

The Process
†     Admit your need. I am a sinner.
†     Be willing to turn from your sins.
†     Repent.
†     Believe that Jesus Christ suffered on the cross for sin.
†     Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ into your heart, forgive your sin, and
       control your life through the Holy Spirit.
